GLOSSARY
Cass'pak
(Gj. "soulwater")
Cass'pak is an ocean that takes up just under of a third of the Lost World. It is located on the edge of the northwestern - northern border of the Lost World.
Citadel, the
("Kurrsk" Gj. "the fist of stone")
The Citadel stands just over four stories. Massive golden-brown stone walls surround the solid tower of the citadel. There are no other windows, except for the ring of them around the top of the tower. The courtyard of the citadel is busy with various day-to-day activities. This is the main Primasaur outpost to the primordial jungle beyond their small empire in the Forgotten Valley.
Faa'travvi
(Gj. "the river of life")
The primary river that leads from the Forbidden Mountains to the inland ocean of Cass'pak.
Forbiddden Mountains, the
("Kaka'trrusk Yaa'jakurr" Gj. "the spine of Yaa'jakurr")
A range of mountains that run from the southern end to the north-eastern end of The Lost World. No Hominid tribe has ever ventured beyond the Forbidden Mountains and has returned alive to tell of it.
Forgotten Valley, the
("Shanna'sarr Vala'raa" Gj. "in the belly of Mothergod")
A long valley that stretches along the east side of the Forbidden Mountains. Several species of Primasaur live in great cities in this fertile valley. The temperature in this valley is slighter hotter and more humid than the Lost World norm. The greatest of the Primasaur cities is Shak'kaporr.
Freyanni
(Gj. "The Beautiful")
A major Primasaur species.
Gaar'ja
The Primasaur language of spoken word, growls, throat rumbles and tail movement. It is alien to human/hominid listeners. The best non-Primasaurs listeners can hope to learn are very basic phrases since they can't physically reproduce some of the sounds and movements of a Primasaur.
Ja'karr
(Gj. "The Blessed")
A major Primasaur species.
Jorr'jak
(Gj. "savages")
Several hominid tribes that live free in the jungles. They live a nomadic existance while scavenging a life in the harsh conditions. The Primasaurs hunt Jorr'jak on a regular basis. This serves to keep their population down and to provide a source of food considered a delicacy amongst the Primasaurs.
Lost world
The Lost World is a subteranean kingdom populated by lost species of dinosaurs, various tribes of hominids, and the vast kingdom of the Primasaurs!
Narr'kanni
(Gj. "the Lush Land")
The lush jungle that covers a quarter of the Lost World. It is also a harsh refuge from Primasaur domination.
Primasaurs
There are several distinct species of Primasaur that inhabit the Lost World. The major species are the Freyanni, Trakanni, and the Ja'karr. Many lesser species exist in the Primasaur kingdom. Their tech level is a mix of the primitive and the highly advanced.
Shak'kapporr
(Gj. "Golden Palace")
No human (or hominid) has ever travelled to Shak'kapporr and returned to tell about it.
Trakanni
(Gj. "The Hooded Ones")
A major Primasaur species.
Twelve Tribes, the
("Graak" Gj. "livestock, slaves")
Various hominid races that live under the protectorship of the Primasaurs. These are the twelve civilized tribes. They have a rudimentary council of chiefs that report to their Primasaur masters. Those settlements closer to the Citadel are more advanced than their sister cities out farther on the Faa'travvi. The twelve tribes are always on the guard against hominid raiders, Jorr'jak, from the wild jungles of Narr'kanni.
